School Magazine

How does your prelim represent particular social groups?
- My prelim represents the studendts at the college, it is represent all social groups, as none of it is biased to one religion or to a social group of people. It is simply about the college, and what is going on in and around the college over the christmas period.

Who would be the intended audience for your product?
- The intended audience of my product would have to be the students of the college, and the parents of those students because it gives them the information that they will also need, regarding the times of the school, and closures or any out of school activities that the students would like to be involved in.

How did you attract/ address your audience?
- To attract my audience I used a simple design, it isnt to complex and should be easy for the students to read without requiring assistance from a member of staff. It also has one of the students that they may be familiar with on the front cover, so if they knew the model, they could contact him or speak to him and enquir anything that they weren't 100% sure about.

What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
- I have learnt how to create a magazine, what methods to use to make if effectful and attractive to look at (not over crowded and untidy) i have also learnt how to use photoshop, and how to piece together the project, using the different layers etc.

  1. Some nice features Danny for eg the Christmas theme indicated through hats/ mistletoe. Take care with the placing of your photographs as they could be made more imposing and placed so that they bring the page together. Are you happy with the background colour? Lastly, the coverlines and contents seem more suited to school bulletin notices rather than a student magazine. Overall, a good effort. You have picked up key photoshop skills very well.
